Great South Run

Great South Run (10 miles) - Sunday 20 October 2019

Starting and finishing in Southsea, the Great South Run’s 10-mile course runs you through Old Portsmouth, passing Portsmouth Cathedral before entering the Historic Dockyard. Home of the Royal Navy’s current naval ships, you’re granted permission to run by some of the most famous naval vessels in the world – including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose Museum.

After exiting the Dockyard you reach the halfway point on Winston Churchill Avenue, before making your way back towards Southsea Common, where you’ll complete the final two miles on the scenic seafront.

The course is steeped in history dating as far back as 1212 and features charity cheering points, boost zones, bands on the run and unrivalled support from local residents and spectators.

If you're looking to achieve a personal best, this course is ideal for its fast and flat trail!

National Eczema Society has a number of charity places available for this event. We ask runners who accept a place through us to achieve a £250 minimum fundraising requirement. This amount covers the cost of your place plus an administration fee to Great South Run, as well as our administration costs and the supply of a running vest, so please do your best to raise as much as you can! We’ve even put together an updated Fundraising Guide to get you started.

To express your interest, please fill in this short application form. Alternatively, you can download a copy and email it to fundraising@eczema.org.
